i'm a twin

when i was in the fifth grade, i did what any lonely only child would do: i made up an identical twin.

i told my friends that my identical twin lived with my grandparens in san clemente, and that my mom and dad couldn't afford to raise TWO girls, so they gave one to my grandparents.

photographic proof was requested.

a picture of myself was delivered (the next day, of course).

belief was solidified. so much that years later, moms from my school would come up and gingerly ask my mother: "so... i have to ask you a question... i know this sounds ridiculous... but does kerstin have a twin?"

to which my mom should now answer: "yes!"

some of these pictures are of me, some are of my twin: courtney. can you tell us apart? my mom sure can't... when visiting my classes last monday, she even followed courtney out of the classroom - thinking it as me! to my mom's defense, courtney and i do have a lot of the same clothes... and that day she was wearing a jacket that is the same style/color as one i have.
