Vegas!

hey guys.  so as you may or may not know, my roomie chels is dating a boy named kyle.  while they met in feb. and dated quite nonstop since, kyle moved back home to vegas for the spring semester while chels and i stayed in p-town.  this past weekend, we went down (along with a boy in our ward named derrin, who also lives in vegas) to visit kyle.

derrin and i went wakeboarding saturday morning.  early. saturday. morning. we were going out on a friend's boat, and decided just to spend the night at this friend's house friday night.  but yet, we also wanted to go out on the strip, so we didn't arrive to friend's house until about 3:45 am.  after snacking on our jack in the box (mmmmm, my favorite) and getting ready for bed, we texted friend asking him when we were planning to leave.  friend immediately texted back and said "20 min".  no sleep for us!

the sunrise was quite beautiful.  we arrived at lake mead around 5:45 am.

derrin was a true gentleman and drove a good majority of the trip.  it was a nice break, as i usually drive this myself. (he does not want pictures taken of him, though --- note him trying to block his face from the camera)  NOTE TO JENNI: THIS IS MOVIE BOY.

overall, this trip was filled with many joyous moments of hilarity.  i'm not sure if it was the lack of sleep, being in vegas, but some really odd funny funny things happened.

chels, kyle, and i are headed back town there for a quick one nighter, as we have to drop him back off at home.  sadly, derrin won't be joining us this time.  he got super hurt wakeboarding with me on saturday morning, and is getting an mri today.  i'm guessing he just tore a few of the ligaments in his foot.  he was quite an awesome wakeboarder too (until he got hurt).
